About Us
Hi, I'm Ella Vence
If you’ve ever stood in the middle of a bare apartment, surrounded by cardboard boxes, not knowing where on earth to start… that was me.
When I moved into my first apartment, I had big dreams and a very small budget. The walls were beige. The lighting was the kind that makes everything look a little depressing. And my landlord’s list of things I couldn’t touch felt longer than the lease itself. No painting. No drilling. No permanent anything.
For a while, I just lived with it. Plain walls, furniture I’d grabbed in a hurry, and a space that never really felt like mine. I kept telling myself I’d figure it out eventually.
What actually helped was Pinterest.
I fell into it completely. Hours of saving cottagecore bedrooms, Japandi living rooms, dark academia reading nooks, and renter-friendly makeovers that somehow looked better than homes people actually owned. I started trying things. A strip of removable wallpaper on one wall. A thrifted rattan chair by the window. A little shelf of trailing plants I was honestly not sure I could keep alive.
Slowly, something shifted. My apartment stopped feeling like a temporary holding space and started feeling like somewhere I actually wanted to be. It started feeling like me.
That’s the feeling I want for you.
Nestvique exists because I needed it and it didn’t exist yet. It’s a place for real people decorating real spaces, whether that’s your first apartment on a tight budget, a rental you’re trying to make beautiful without losing your deposit, a style aesthetic you’re falling in love with for the first time, a plant collection you’re slowly building, or an RV you’re learning to call home.
No intimidating design language. No projects that require a contractor or a big renovation budget. Just honest, beautiful ideas for the spaces you actually live in every day.
I’m really glad you found this place. Now let’s make your space feel like yours.
Ella

MEET THE TEAM
Ella Vence | Founder and Senior Editor

Ella started Nestvique after transforming her own rental apartment on a shoestring budget and realizing how few resources actually spoke to renters, beginners, and people decorating without a lot of money or freedom. She oversees all editorial direction at Nestvique, writes across every category, and makes sure every piece of content published here is genuinely useful rather than just pretty to look at. She believes that a home should feel like you, regardless of your budget, your landlord, or the size of your space.
Maya Hartwell | Home Decor Writer and Interior Styling Specialist

Maya studied interior design and spent several years working as a freelance home stylist before joining Nestvique as a full-time contributor. She has an eye for the kind of details that make a room feel intentional rather than accidental, and she brings that perspective to every article she writes. At Nestvique, Maya focuses on aesthetic deep-dives, covering styles like Cottagecore, Japandi, Dark Academia, and Modern Farmhouse with the kind of practical knowledge that only comes from having actually worked in spaces. Her favorite kind of project is helping someone find a style that genuinely fits who they are rather than just copying what looks good on someone else’s feed.
Daniela Reyes | Plant and Lifestyle Writer

Daniela came to Nestvique by way of her other great obsession: plants. What started as a small pothos on her windowsill turned into a full apartment jungle and eventually a deep knowledge of what actually keeps indoor plants alive, thriving, and looking beautiful in a real home. She covers Nestvique’s plant content from both the decorating and care side, writing guides that are honest about what works and what doesn’t. She also covers the RV Living section, drawing on her experience traveling and making small, unconventional spaces feel genuinely comfortable. Her writing is practical, a little funny, and always grounded in what real people with real lives can actually pull off.
